Before you visit
Ask for the exact location, rental term, deposit, included furniture, building fees, parking, internet options, and which utilities are included. Do not send money only from photos or messages.
Inspect the full setup
Check water storage, electricity backup, air conditioning, internet providers, salt-air maintenance, parking, and realistic travel time to your daily destinations.
Document the agreement
Use a written agreement, identify the owner or authorized representative, record inventory and existing damage with dated photos, and obtain receipts for every payment. Seek independent legal advice when terms are unclear.
